The Anise or Pimpinella anisum is an aromatic, culinary and medicinal plant. It is mainly used to make anise liqueur. The seeds are used to season pastry products. It has natural properties to better digestion, appetite, relieve colic, coughing.
It is also a wild flowering plant perfect to create edges, colour rockeries and grow in container.
Annual herbaceous plant growing up 30 to 60cm with tiny white flowers. Lanceolate leaves. Oval, scented fruits filled with seeds. It grows on light and permeable soils.
Direct sowing in spring outside. All year long indoor.
