Since 1895 we can enjoy this broad bean variety, known for its cropping qualities and unquestionable flavour. An excellent plant to fix nitrogen in the soil. Do not sow near onions.
Green and broad pods with 6-7 large seeds. It can reach 120cm in height.
Sowing in early April will be ready for picking in July, making it one of the earliest garden beans to be harvested. Sow in double rows set 25cm apart and allowing 60cm between each double row or single rows 45cm apart. Sow beans 5cm deep and 25cm between plants.
