Ornamental flowering plant perfect for gardens, rockery and landscaping. Now it is mainly used as an ornamental plant but it was used for coal and woodfire. In winter its foliage and branches were eaten by the game.
Evergreen shrub up to 3m with green-greyish dense foliage. The leaves are silky and bright. Abundant orangy flowers growing in bunches at early spring.
Grows on acid soils and prefers humid and temperate areas. It can be found at sea-level up to 2,000m of altitude.
Place the seeds in bowling water at 90ºC for 5 seconds. Soak for 24h and then proceed to the direct sowing.
