This is not a true spinach but similar in flavor and use. 50-70cm tall, spreading plant and very productive. Thick and fleshy green leaves. Slow to bolt. Best when picked in summer for its good tolerance of hot weather.
Soak the seeds 24 hours before sowing, from March to April with a depth of 1-2cm. The temperature for optimal germination is 24-28ºC. Plant space is 40x40cm.
Harvest from June to September. It needs a frequent watering. Likes sandy, well drained and humid soils.
