If you want to expand your urban garden or start growing seeds, cheer up with the Lombarda Black Head! Perfect to watch it grow in the nursery and later enjoy its intense and pleasant flavor, raw in salads or cooked to add to your stews.
It is a late and traditional variety. Smooth and enveloping dark red-purple leaves. It forms a round, closed, tight and good size cabbage. Very resistant and adapts to most terrains. Its color changes with the acidity of the soil, so if it is acid the leaves will be more reddish and if it is more alkaline, they will turn more bluish.
Direct sowing in seedbed. When it has 4-6 leaves, it can be transplanted in its final place at a distance of approximately 50x60cm.
Special care must be taken with pests and diseases such as the cabbage caterpillar, gray worms or aphids.
