Perennial solanaceous plant, flowering from June to September with white flowers. Its ripe orange or red fruits are between 60 and 85 mm long. Indoor sowing in pots in late winter or early spring, germinates at 20°C, outdoor sowing after the last frost, best grown as a perennial in pots.
