SEEDS OF CHICORY VARIEGATA DI CASTELFRANCO

Large leaf type. Absolutely necessary in winter. Long cream-white leaves with flecks of red wine violet.

Because of its striking, intense and bright coloration, it is known as "Rose of Castelfranco". With a sweet to lightly bitter flavour and crunchiness, this variety is perfect for salads.

Sow directly to a depth of 0.5-1cm placing 3-4 seeds per hole, being recommendable to do it in trays so that the root ball is well formed and keep the substrate moist during sowing.

When the plants reach a height of approximately 15cm, they are ready to be transplanted. Leaving 30cm between plants and 40cm between lines.

It grows in deep soils, rich, fresh and well drained.
