Deciduous tree up to 15-20m tall. Heart-shaped leaves, light green. Attractive flowers in summer. White flowers spotted with yellowish purplish lines.
Grows on moist and limestone soils under cool climates. Good timber.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 48 hours before sowing in spring or in late summer/early autumn.
