Tree native to Asia that can reach up to 15m in height. With deciduous leaves and striking pink or purple flowers and hints of white.
It attracts wildlife and is very good for the soil as it fixes nitrogen. You need moist, well-drained soil, plus direct sun exposure.
The growth of this tree in Spain is generally much smaller, looking more like a highly branched shrub.
Put the seeds in boiling water at 60ºC for 5 seconds and then put them in water with ice cubes and soakat room temperature for 48h. Then a cold stratification of the seeds will be carried out for 90 days. Use planting soil in your pots or garden soil mixed with planting soil if planting is done directly in the garden. The substrate has to be humid without watering until the germination of the seeds is finished.
