Tree similar to a conifer mainly used for windbreaks and near the sea. Bonsai.
Semi-perennial tree that can reach 30-35 m in height. Straight trunk with rough bark, fissured. Thin leaves similar to those of the pines. Tiny flowers. Round fruit resembling a conifer cone.

Direct sowing. Temperatures 20ºC night/30ºC day. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
Fast growing tree, fixes atmospheric nitrogen. Wood for fences and firewood. It contains tannin and is astringent. Hardy, sand and salt tolerant.
