SEEDS OF RED COTTON TREE - BOMBAX CEIBA
Tropical tree with pretty red flowers. The thorns of the trunk allow the tree to defend itself from the animals. The flowers of this tree are used in Chinese herbal tea. Its root has medicinal properties: astringent, demulcent, emetic.
Deciduous tree that reaches 20 m. Straight trunk with thorns. Red flowers that appear before the leaves. Its fruit is a brown pod. On opening, fibers appear similar to the cotton.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 24 hours before sowing at temperatures of 15ºC night/20ºC day.
