Small tree with intense pink aromatic flowers in spring. Very useful for its size as a small tree for narrow pavements. Many parts of the plant have medicinal properties. Good shade tree.
Semi-deciduous tree up to 10 m high, with more or less smooth bark and young pubescent twigs. Simple, rounded leaves, about 10-20 cm long and wide. They have two rounded lobes and a cordate base. The upper side is glaucous, glabrous. Flowers in short clusters borne mainly on old branches.
Soak the seeds for 24 hours and sow at a temperature of 20/25ºC.
