SEEDS OF CRANBERRY BUSH - VIBURNUM OPULUS

Ornamental shrub used as specimen in groups or to create hedges. Rootstock. The bark is used for its medicinal properties (relaxing, anti-abortive). Honeybee.

Deciduous shrub growing up to 5m with white flowers. Yellow to red leaves in autumn. The berries are bright red, very showy in autumn.

Prefers deep, fertile and not too much dry soils. It is found in shady places and along waterways.

Direct sowing in Autumn o depending on the geographical areas and altitude sowing can take place from February to April. To obtain a more regular and faster germination stratify in cold the seeds for 60-120 days before the sowing. It is possible to use a sowing substrate for potting or soil from the garden together with a sowing substrate if the sowing is made directly into the garden. The substrate must be wet but not soggy until the germination is completed.
