Mediterranean shrub perfect for rockery, landscaping and in a garden. Medicinal plant. It is astringent and it is a good firewood. Ladders and stepladders are made from its branches. Its berries are food for the fauna especially in arid regions. It is widely used for landscaping and restoration projects.

Evergreen shrub growing up to 1,3m with green and lanceolate leaves. Yellow-greenish flowers and red fleshy berries.

It likes basic, dry and poor soils.
