SEEDS OF CORAL PEARLS HEDGING - COTONEASTER FRANCHETII

Ornamental shrub for edges, hedges and slopes. Like all species of the genus the fruits remain in the plant all winter long.

Evergreen 1 to 3m tall shrub with little white flowers. Oval-acute leaves. Orange-red berries.

Prefers deep, fertile soils.

Direct sowing in autumn/winter or depending on the geographical areas and altitude sowing can take place from October to February. To obtain a more regular and faster germination stratify in cold the seeds for 30 days before the sowing. It is possible to use a sowing substrate for potting or soil from the garden together with a sowing substrate if the sowing is made directly into the garden. The substrate must be wet but not soggy until the germination is completed.
