Ornamental and culinary shrub used to create flowerbeds and for erosion control. Bonsai. Bees are attracted by the aroma of its flowers. The seeds are used in cooking. They must be cooked before being eaten. The flowers are edible too and can be added to salads.
A thorny and deciduous shrub of 3m tall with pale or dark green oval leaves. Scented and abundant clusters of yellow pea-flowers in spring.
