Ornamental shrub with medicinal properties. Rockery, gardens and hedges. It is mainly used for its aromatic resin to make varnishes but also in the topiary art and in the art of bonsai. It is useful in case of acute inflammation, diarrhea, rheumatism and insect stings.
Evergreen shrub up to 4m with clustered very small flowers from yellowish to dark red. Lanceolate leaves. Aromatic, red and black fruits.
It adapts to any types of soils prefering rocky ones.
Direct sowing or to obtain a more regular and faster germination stratify in cold the seeds for 30-50 days before the sowing. Temperatures 20ºC night/30ºC day.
