Excellent indoor plant. Cotton has a multitude of uses in medicine, textile manufacturing, etc.
It is perfect as an indoor plant to grow in pots. In the patio or the terrace it develops very well in sunny and protected place.
Shrub up to 1.7m tall with broad, hairy leaves. Yellowish white flowers that turn pink. Seeds covered with very long hairs which is actually the cotton produced by the plant. Short-lived and fast growing perennial.
It prefers humus soils, from neutral to acidic and fresh.
Soak the seeds in tap water for 3days and proceed to sowing at temperatures of 20ºC night and 30ºC day.
