SEEDS OF BLADDER SENNA - COLUTEA ARBORESCENS

Ornamental shrub used for banks, edges, rockery and to stop erosion. Honey production. This shrub is often present in the Mediterranean Garrigues.

Evergreen shrub 2-5 m with typical yellow pea-like flowers. The branches are hollow and it has oval-shaped leaves. The fruit is an inflated bladdery pod which dries to a papery texture.

It prefers poor, stony and dry soils.

Place the seeds in boiling water at 90º for 5 seconds and immediately after transfer to running water with ice cubes in it. Soak for 24h and then proceed to the sowing maintaining temperatures of 15ºC night/25ºC day until the germination is completed.
