Ornamental shrub for hedges, groups and slopes. Present in scrublands, pine hedges and oak groves. A typical shrub in the Garrigues of the Mediterranean regions. It is also used to smoke cheese because it gives a special taste and protection.
Evergreen aromatic shrub up to 1.8m tall. It has sticky long and dark green leaves. Pure white flowers with a central boss of yellow stamens.
Prefers acid soils. Tolerates poor and chalky soils.
Place the seeds in boiling water at 90º for 1 minutes. Rinse and take off the extra water. Proceed to the sowing maintaining temperatures of 15ºC night/20ºC day until the germination is completed.
