The Gum Rockrose is an ornamental shrub perfect for borders, in groups and on slopes. The leaves produce a resin used to fix fragrances. Very ornamental this plant is recommended in any Mediterranean style garden.
2m tall aromatic shrub with dark green sticky leaves. Large and white flowers with sometimes purple blotches at their bottom.
Preference for acidic, siliceous, dry and well-drained soils. Cistus ladanifer grows wildly in the Mediterranean region (Portugal, Spain, France, Morocco).
Place the seeds in boiling water at 90º for 1 minute. Rinse and take off the extra water. Proceed to the sowing maintaining temperatures of 15ºC night/20ºC day until the germination is completed. Cover seeds lightly.
