Compact shrub perfect for low maintenance gardens. Yellow flowers with a purple center, very fragrant. Flowering during the winter, before the leaves. Due to its slow growth it can be grown in pots.
Deciduous shrub that can reach 2-3m. tall. Lanceolate, shiny, dark green leaves. The flowers do not have a calyx, so their petals are botanically called tepals. The exteriors are faint yellow, almost translucent, and the interior tepals are shorter and reddish. Very fragrant.
It requires little care. Very resistant to cold although it likes temperate climates. Equally resistant to pests and diseases.
Direct sowing with temperatures of 20ºC / 25ºC.
