Ornamental shrub for borders, hedges and rockery gardens. It has interesting medicinal values. Does well planted together with other species to bring color to rockery and borders in gardens. It is widely planted in traffic circles. Restoration specie in poor areas and for erosion control. Honeybee plant with a high-quality nectar. Medicinal properties to fight asthma, colds and stomach issues. It is used as firewood and sometimes as brooms. It can germinate and sprout again after a fire.

This hairy shrub can grow up to 90cm of height. Long green leaves and yellow flowers. It is native to the Mediterranean area.

Grow on neutral, chalky, rocky and dry soils. It adapts to sea breeze. For the dried areas, rockery.

Put the seeds in boiling water for 5 seconds and immediately after transfer to running water with ice cubes in it. Soak for 48h and then proceed to the sowing maintaining temperatures of 15ºC until the germination is completed.
