Impressive tree used as a specimen tree in big gardens or parks. Timber. Bonsai.
Evergreen tree growing up to 100m or more. Pyramidal shape and thick trunk. Needle-like and dark green leaves. Brown-reddish cones.
It grows on silty soils from neutral to acid ones. It is widely used for its wood and ornamental value. The Redwood longevity can reach as much as 3,000 years old.
