The Scots Pine is a tree for timber and ornamental use. It has medicinal properties. It is a species used to grow bonsai. Its wood is widely used in cabinet making and as a firewood. Singular and alignment tree in urban areas and gardens. Its medicinal properties include those of diuretic, antiseptic, expectorant.
It is a 30m tall conifer with dark-green needle-like leaves. Brown pine cones filled with the seeds. Prefers neutral, acid and deep soils.
Direct sowing in spring.
