SEEDS OF DWARF MUGO PINE - PINUS MUGO SUBSP. PUMILIO

Dwarf, creeping conifer cultivated in rockery gardens, pots and flowerbeds. Bonsai.

The young buds and pine cones are used in today’s culinary recipes. Let them dry to prepare juices. Prune yearly at the end of winter to keep it compact.

Evergreen tree or shrub reaching 5m. Extended shape. Dark green acicules shorter than those of P. mugo mugo.

It needs loamy, sandy, humid and well drained soils.

Direct sowing. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
