Highly ornamental tree with bright gold foliage in autumn. Bonsai. Perfect for banks as an isolated or alignment tree. Mainly grown for timber. Fast growing.
Deciduous conifer growing up to 40m with a conic and narrow bearing. The needle-like leaves are bluish green turning dark red in autumn. Small and rounded pine cones.
It grows on acid and fresh soils.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 24 hours before sowing.
