Fast growing tree commonly planted for ornament. Fragrant wood. Bonsai. Ideal in huge parks and gardens. It has antiseptic, astringent and anti-fongal properties. Its aromatic wood produces Cedar essential oilused in perfumery and to make incense. Good insect repellent tree for its strong fragrance.
Conifer up to 40m tall. Pyramid-shaped. Green-greyish needles and green to reddish cones.
Prefers permeable and slightly deep soils.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 24 hours before sowing at temperatures of 18ºC/22ºC.
