SEEDS OF TRUMPET VINE - CAMPSIS RADICANS

A beautiful vine for hedges and walls. It can be grown in pots. The flowers attract hummingbirds and other bird species among which some of them nest in its dense foliage. At the beginning it is convenient to hold it until it gets a ligneous stem which will help it to stand by itself. The pruning is done at the end of summer on the stems which have blossomed.

Strong growing vine with brilliant orange and scarlet, trumpet-shaped flowers. Deciduous green leaves.

Likes rich, humid and well-drained soils under continental climates.

Depending on the geographical areas and altitude sowing can take place from February to April. To obtain a more regular and faster germination stratify in cold the seeds for 60 days before the sowing. It is possible to use a sowing substrate for potting or soil from the garden together with a sowing substrate if the sowing is made directly into the garden. The substrate must be wet until the germination is completed.
