Portuguese oaks with Tuber melanosporum mycorrhizae.
Truffle production is only achieved in alkaline soils, with pH above 7.5, so before planting these truffle trees it is important to make sure that our land is suitable.
Truffles are highly appreciated fungi that can be only produced in association with trees like oaks. In order to produce truffles, it is first necessary to inoculate oaks at the seedling stage and make sure that the fungus is abundant in the root system. An independent laboratory certifies our high quality truffles trees.
Dig a hole at least two or three times as wide and deep as the root ball. Take out the plant from the container and loosen roots to allow them to spread out in all direction. Cut possible broken roots. Mix the soil extracted with a substrate and fill part of the hole with the mixture obtained. Place the plant in the hole and cover with the remaining mixture. Compact the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.
