Curious, exotic and somewhat strange due to the shape of its trunk, this plant is perfect to grow both indoors and outdoors, and ideal to start gardening!
When young, its thin green leaves grow on top of a small trunk almost similar to an onion. On the other hand, when it is an adult, it has a thick stem from which many long, curved leaves grow. The main feature is its thick trunk at the base in the shape of an elephant's foot.
Slow growing that can reach 10m in its natural environment, but as an indoor plant it does not exceed 1.5m. It blooms when the plant is more than 10 years old, in spring.
It may look like a palm tree, but this shrub is from the Agave family, with a sparsely branched trunk and is widely grown in pots for indoors or on patios.
Before sowing, soak the seed in water at room temperature for 2 days. Then sow at temperatures of 20ºC at night/30ºC day.
