SEEDS OF SPINY RESTHARROW - ONONIS SPINOSA
Aromatic plant with medicinal properties for rockery, hedges and edges. Medicinal plant. Diuretic, effective for rheumatism, gout. Use under medical survey. Antiseptic, astringent. This plant fixes nitrogen to improve poor and sandy soils.
Evergreen herbaceous plant 25 to 80cm tall. The whole plant is hairy and most of the time thorny. Oval and lanceolate dark green leaves. Bright-red flowering from May to October.
It grows on clay soils from neutral to acid and fresh soils.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 24 hours before sowing at temperatures of 10ºC night/20ºC day.
