Direct sowing. Mix the seeds with thin sand and sow in place. Water regularly until germination is over.
Prefers not too rich but well-drained soils. It is naturally found on slopes, rocky zones and rockery.
From time to time the leaves are used in salads or as a condiment because of its sour savour.
