Alfa Grass is a grass that is mainly used for restoration works. In a garden it creates natural clumps. The esparto is manufactured with the fibers of its leaves.
Grass of high bearing that reaches 1 m of height forming root balls or scattered clumps. It has elongated and flat leaves. It is frequent in dry, poor, and basic soils. The Alfa grass is originally from the Iranian-Turanian region, that is, from the deserts located between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. It extended to the Iberian Peninsula, throughout the Mediterranean.
