Aromatic plant to use against erosion and desertification. Groundcover. It is perfect for edges, rockery and hedges. Long ago it was used to make thin brooms to sweep the mud on the floors of houses. It is also cultivated for game vegetation and landscaping.
Evergreen grass reaching 1m with wide and very thin, green leaves and plenty of arching stems bearing long-awned flowers.
Needs light sandy soils from neutral to acid ones. Drought tolerant.
Direct sowing at temperatures of 18ºC night/20ºC day. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
