SEEDS OF WINTER THYME - THYMUS VULGARIS

Aromatic and ornamental small plant . Ideal for edges, rockery and pots. Kitchen herb. It is used as a condiment for stews and sauces and it gives flavour to liqueurs. Honeybee shrub. Esential oil. Medicinal herb (extraction of thymol), antioxydant properties.  Pot plant. Culinary plant. The leaves can be used for dried arrangements.

Evergreen small shrub up to 40cm with pink clustered flowers. Small and elliptic leaves covered with thin hairs. Very aromatic.

It prefers rather poor, rocky, clay and well-drained soils.

Sowing in spring and autumn. All year indoor.
