An ornamental tree grown as an isolated or alignement tree, in parks and gardens. Edible hazelnut.
Deciduous tree up to 25m with a conic canopy. Green and rounded leaves. Little edible hazelnuts.
It grows on humid, acid and well drained soils.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 4 days. To obtain a more regular and faster germination stratify in cold the seeds for 4-5 months before the sowing.
