SEEDS OF WALNUT TREE - JUGLANS REGIA

A fruit, ornamental, forest and medicinal tree. Grown for its edible fruit, the walnut. The walnuts are traded to be eaten fresh, to make oil and of course as one of the best dry fruit for a healthy diet. The wood is of a good quality and very appreciated in carpentry and cabinet-making. It has medicinal properties controlling fatty and folic acids.

A deciduous 20m tall tree with a heavy whitish trunk. The leaves are oval, green and scented. The walnut is big and plump. Small green-yellowish flowers. Prefers deep, sandy soils.
