Deciduous shrub of almost 1m with oval and serrated light-green leaves. Green-pinky tiny flowers. Black-bluish bilberries that taste sweet and sour.

It prefers dry, very acid and poor soils.
Bilberries can be eaten fresh, in jellies, drinks or jam. They are rich in iron, tannins, sugar and P vitamin.
