The Blue Tansy is a flower used as a green manure. Honeybee and groundcover plant in fruit plantations, a natural insect repellent and very decorative in a garden.
This plant is a used as a cover crop, for biological pest control as it eliminates aphids, red spiders, white flies… and other infestations. Its roots improve the structure of the soil. It is also a bee plant and an ornamental plant.
Erect annual plant of 1m with bell-shaped flowers in shades of blue flowering from spring until autumn. Alternate and lobbed leaves. The whole plant is hairy.
Sowing from April to August. Recomended dosis for sowing is 10 kgs per hectare. It prefers clay, limestone and well-drained soils.
