Culinary and medicinal plant. Ideal in pots, gardens and patios. In gastronomy its root is a substitute to coffee. It is an ingredient in salads and beef stew. It is healthy in juices, cataplasms and if eaten fresh because this plant is purgative, sedative. It is used in detoxification and cicatrization.

This chicory is very attractive to birds!

This evergreen plant can reach 1.20 m. The leaves are lobed, serrated and green. Its blue-lilac flowers follow the sun the same way as sunflowers do. The fruit is brown.

Prefers rich and dry soils.

Sowing in spring and autumn.
