Ornamental, medicinal, and culinary flower cultivated in the garden to form clumps and flowerbeds imitating natural meadows. An esencial oil is extracted from the flowers, leaves and roots. It has antitussive, expectorant, diuretic and scarring properties among others. The newly sprouted leaves are eaten in salads.
Perennial 20cm high with green leaves that rise from the base. Single white flowers with pink edge, true wild form.
Direct sowing in spring. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
Fits all types of soils but prefers a deep, moist and rich soil.
