Aromatic plant with medicinal properties perfect for edges, rockery gardens and slopes. The root is very crunchy and has a sweet, smooth, spicy taste. It is a good seasoning for meat dishes. They are used in medicine for its diuretic, diaphoretic properties and for being a purifying agent of the blood. For years, children have used their leaves to play as they easily hook onto clothing.
Fleshy root. Hollow stem up to 1.5 m. Numerous branches with large, oval and rough leaves. The flowers appear in the second year. They are small with an intense purple color. The fruits are small and ball-shaped with hooks.
It adapts to all soils.
Direct sowing in Autumn or Spring. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
