SEEDS OF WILD COLUMBINE - AQUILEGIA VULGARIS

Ornamental flower to grow in pots, flower beds and gardens. Very important medicinal properties. It is used to decorate the gardens, borders and flowerbeds but also as a cutflower. It has astringent, diuretic and antipyretic properties. The seeds grounded and macerated in olive oil are used against louse. In the Antiquity it was used to stimulate appetite, as a diuretic and as an anti-perspirant.

Evergreen plant of 60cm. Blue flowers in summer. Wild form.

It will develop better on cool and well-drained soils. It needs 3 waterings per week and more in case of drought.

Direct sowing in spring and autumn.
