The commonest of all Birds of Paradise with yellow-orange and blue bird tongue flowers. Gardens, edges, indoor plant. Cut flower. Hummingbirds make its pollination. It is extremely spectacular as a cut flower for centerpieces and bunches of flowers. Exotic species native of Africa.
Perennial flower with a green foliage of 1-1.5m in height. Green-blue, wide and long spray-shaped leaves. Orange and blue beak-shaped flowers.
Place the seeds in boiling water at 90ºC for 5 seconds and immediately after transfer to running water with ice cubes in it. Soak for 24h and then proceed to the sowing maintaining temperatures of 20ºC night/30ºC day until the germination is completed.
