Ornamental flower for rockery and hedges. It is used in gardening and as a gound-cover plant. Excellent plant for seaside.
Evergreen plant of almost 1.5m with cylindrical flowers. First they are coral red then orangey and finally yellow greenish. Wide and narrow leaves.
They must be grown in well drained soils. It is found on dry soils, banks and rockery gardens.
Soak the seeds in cool water for 24 hours before sowing in spring.
