Biennial with long flower stalks with numerous silky and nearly black single flowers. Ideal as a solitary plant, along walls. Attract bees and butterflies. The flowers can be added in salads, they serve to prepare herbal tea as well as to decorate them. Young fruits can also be consumed. The plant has medicinal porperties that help to mitigate fever, irritations, bronchitis and is an anti-inflammatory.

Prefers well-drained soils rich in organic matter.
Direct sowing in the garden from late spring to early fall, maintaining temperatures of 20ºC. Keep the soil moist.
