The Dwarf Nasturtium is a very ornamental plant ideal in flowerbeds, windowsills and containers. The leaves and flowers are edible. They are used as ingredients for salads. The seeds can replace capers for their spicy taste. The colours of the flowers attract butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.
Annual. 30cm. Single flowers. Mixed colours (orangey). Blossoms in summer. Round, green leaves.
It grows on almost any well drained soils. The plant needs regular watering.
Direct sowing in spring. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
