SEEDS OF COMMON FLAX - LINUM USITATISSIMUM
Flowering plant with medicinal properties to be cultivated in rockery, edges and pots. It is used against chronic constipation, duodennite, peptic ulcer, painful periods etc … Flour and oil of flaxare extracted from its seed.
Annual of almost 70cm with blue-purple thistle-like flowers, in summer. Lanceolate leaves. The fruits contain dark-coloured seeds.
It grows on clay and humid soils.
Sowing in spring and autumn. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
