Wild form of the common poppy directly from the countryside to your garden ! It is perfect for edges, rockery and pots. Widely used for its ornamental value in gardens, decoration and landscaping. Before the flowering the fresh green leaves can be cooked as spinach. In this case they lose their poisonous properties. On the contrary its seeds are inoffensive and part of our daily diet.
Annual. 60 cm. Single flower. Bright red flowering at the end of spring. Green leaves.
Needs light, acid and dry soils.
Direct sowing in winter/spring. Lightly cover the seeds and maintain the humidity until germination is completed.
